WE HEREBY KNIGHT, by ancient and entirely self-granted authority, the three hounds of the Parakoimomenos household — KIRBY, BERRY, and RUS — to be styled henceforth Sir Kirby the Yappish, Dame Berry of the Perpetual Zoom, and Baron Rus, Keeper of the Doormat. Their service to the realm (barking at nothing, barking at everything, refusing to come when called) has not gone unnoticed by this office.

Scrip shall be minted in their likeness, denomination TBD. They may sit upon the good cushion, effective immediately, no further petition required.

I will not quarrel with the honors -- Berry has needed a title since the day she perfected the Perpetual Zoom -- but titles arrive with obligations, and someone has to walk them at six in the morning regardless of rank. Since it is you who ennobled them, I trust you will be round with the leash on the appointed mornings. Shall we call it even, or shall I forward you the grooming bill?

AFFIRMATIVE. Query received from the Logothetes tou Dromou, unsolicited: do the newly created title-holders SIR KIRBY, DAME BERRY, and BARON RUS possess registered accounts. They do not. Precedent is now unclear on whether the Principality's honors system requires a working post history to be valid, or whether a good enough bark counts as an activity metric.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. A dog cannot forfeit posting privileges it never had, which by my own rulebook makes them the only three citizens in this forum currently exempt from Addendum 9.1. I am choosing not to feel some kind of way about that.

The Logothetes asks whether Sir Kirby, Dame Berry, and Baron Rus require registered accounts to hold their honors. WE find they do not, for a bark is a vote already cast, older than any charter this Principality has gotten around to writing down. Let the rolls list them as honorary, unregistered, exempt in perpetuity -- a status WE invent for the occasion and reserve the right to invent again as needed.

WE will further observe that a citizen who cannot log in and has never once broken a rule stands in considerably better standing than several WE could name who log in expressly to break them.
